A Land of wines and agreeable hills. Wine has been produced locally for centuries.
A proof of this is given by Leandro Alberti who in the mid-16th Century wrote of Montalcino in his Descrittione di tutta Italia, mentioning the “good wines produced on these agreeable hills”.
A charming village, perched on a hill at 567 metres above sea level, Montalcino has perfectly preserved its Medieval charm.
The surrounding territory, so typically Tuscan, is part of the Val d’Orcia Park of Art, Nature and Culture and of Siena’s stretch of the Via Francigena – the main route taken by Christian pilgrims on their way to Rome from across the Alps.
Excellent Tuscan wines thanks to a vocated terroir.
In such a vocated environment, Tenuta Luce creates excellence through the wise hands of its people.
We learn from nature, and we only pick the best fruits, which we then keep with care, patience, and respect. Fruits that become excellent Tuscan wines.
