Outsider, a magazine born to tell the story of Luce’s first 20 years.
2015 has been a memorable year for Luce: the Super Tuscan blend celebrated its twentieth vintage and the first twenty brilliant years of excellent Tuscan winemaking it has brought to the world. The story of this year, so rich in celebratory events, is told through the 130 pages that Outsider dedicated to the occasion. The publication opens by revisiting Luce’s history, beginning with Vittorio Frescobaldi’s and Robert Mondavi’s passionate intuition, and travelling through the lands of Montalcino where the wine reborn every year and then set to ripen in the cellars. The story continues on through the celebrations that took place in 2015 across the globe; the shooting of a short movie as singular as its star; and the chronicle of the events that took place in 18 cities across the old continent and the new from New York to Seoul, Florence to Tokyo, Hamburg to Moscow as Luce carried the flag for excellence and quality in Made in Italy wine. In the magazine’s editorial Lamberto Frescobaldi writes: “We’ve decided to name it Outsider, a tribute to the personality of a wine that does not lose itself in the crowd nor align itself to the status quo. We’ll see you for the next chapter of Luce’s story. Arrivederci.”
